The Compostabox is a leak proof cardboard container for transporting food waste to composting facilities.

It has an interior barrier coating called Naturemelt which resists moisture and grease so the box stays strong and clean at all times.

But this coating is not paraffin wax, polyethylene or anything else synthetic, it’s formulated entirely from natural ingredients. The cardboard is made from sustainable managed forestry sources which are fully certified. So in making it cleaner and easier to compost food waste we are maintaining close links to nature and taking good care of the environment.

The Compostabox® is supplied flat for easy storage and assembled in seconds without the need for tape or metal staples. Our counter top version holds everyday kitchen waste and fits neatly into the collection bins supplied by City and County authorities. Our larger Compostabox® sizes are suitable for commercial use and strong enough to be stacked securely on pallets, Both will prevent seepage, spillage or odors and at journeys end are fully compostable. In fact studies show that a small percentage of cardboard actually enhances the composting process !
